At Gort Law, I have more than 30 years of experience helping my business clients with their financial needs. Nine of those years have been as an attorney. No matter how small your business or how large your corporation, I provide you services from the time of your business formation until your final dissolution.
Some of the services we provide to business include but are not limited to:
- Business formation. Choosing the proper structure is one of the first and most important decisions for a new business. You may choose to structure your business as a sole proprietorship, partnership, limited liability corporation, or a C or S Corporation, depending on your goals and financial situation.
- Business contracts. Many of us remember when a business could rely on a handshake with a service or product provider. Today, we recommend that all business commitments be documented with an appropriate written contract. Businesses must deal with contracts regarding real estate sales, lease agreements, arrangements with vendors, employment contracts, and more. I negotiate contracts, review those offered to you, and draft contracts on your behalf.
- Business litigation. Unfortunately, a risk of doing business is that conflicts may arise. You may have a breach of contract issue, conflicts with employees, allegations of harassment, discrimination, and more. I will be your vigorous advocate and work to resolve issues as expediently and economically as possible.
- Business torts. A tort is a “legal wrong.” Examples of business torts are when someone or another business intentionally acts in a way that harms your business. Examples include interfering with your client relationships or interference with your business in a way that disrupts your business' earnings.
